Tuition for all school-year classes is based off of a 30-week curriculum, which runs from September 1st through May 31st and ends with the spring recital.
Tuition for the entire year is divided into 9 equal payments and will be posted to your account on the 15th of the prior month of which the payment is due on the 1st. This monthly tuition runs from September through May, regardless of how many classes are held in a month. Breaks will coincide with the Rochester Public Schools District Calendar and are taken into account on our 30-week schedule. Manual payments can also be made between the 1st and 15th of each month and will default your account to “paid” status for the rest of the month.
After the longest class tuition is calculated in full, the 2nd class taken by the same dancer will be given a 5% discount, and 3rd class taken will be given a 10% discount, and so on following the table above. Immediate family members of the first dancer will be given a 5% discount off of their total monthly tuition.
Any family who refers another family to The Dance Lab for any dance season, will receive 5% off of their monthly tuition for that entire season (providing the family registers for classes for the entire season). Each family is allowed one referral discount per season.
A $20 late fee will be charged to your account on the 2nd if full tuition payment is not received by the 1st of any month. Late fees are NOT refundable for any reason.
Adult Class Series
All adult classes are $12 per class and may be enrolled in one day at a time, or in several dates at a time. Click here to view adult classes currently available.
An annual, non-refundable fee of $35 ($70 per family) will be charged to your account upon registration, which is due before the first day of classes in September.
Costume fees tend to run anywhere from $50-$80 per class. These fees will be due by November 31st and are non-refundable. Families with multiple dancers taking multiple classes can apply for an installment plan in which the recital and costume fees are divided into three equal payments and added to the monthly tuition plan from November-January.
SPRING RECITAL FEE
A $25 recital fee is required per dancer, per year who will perform in the spring recital, which also pays for their commemorative recital T-shirt. This fee will be added and billed with the costume totals, which will be issued in October. A 90-day notice (prior to the Recital date) is required for a full refund of this fee if a student wishes to withdraw from the spring recital for any reason.
Payments may be made online through the PARENT PORTAL via credit card or ACH. Monthly auto-pay or manual payment options are available. Payments may also be made in person at the studio via cash, check or credit card.
