MORE INFO ON 2025-2026 PERFORMANCE TEAM SEASON
Commitment:
Once a dancer is chosen via the audition process, the dancer and parent/guardian are required to sign a contract agreeing to commit to the team for the duration of the entire team season. The season will run from August 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
Routines:
Performance Team dancers are required to compete in at least one group routine. The cast, style, and size of each group will be determined after the audition. Audition results will be emailed approximately two weeks after the audition.
Rehearsals:
Group routine rehearsals begin in August, 2025, and will continue through the school-year, and post-recital.
Competitions:
The Performance Team travels to Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs to perform their routines in three competitions between January and May of 2026. If the team will attend Nationals, that will be held in June of 2026.
Dance Class Requirements:
Performance Team members are required to enroll in Ballet and two other technique classes or camps over the summer season; and Ballet, Jazz, Tap and one elective (ie Acro, contemporary, modern, Irish, hip hop, clogging) for the school-year season. If your dancer has never taken a specific style of dance before, please do not let that hinder you from joining the team. We are prepared to work with you and your needs.
Conventions:
Performance team dancers will attend one dance convention in the 2025-2026 school-year season in Rochester, Minneapolis, or surrounding suburbs. At these conventions, dancers learn an extensive amount of choreography and technique, perform in front of others, and take class from famous choreographers and teachers. These lessons are very memorable and valuable to the growth of any dance student.
Attendance Policy:
For group routine rehearsals, Performance Team members are allowed four excused absences upon submitting an absence request form. If a dancer is absent more than four times from one group routine, they will be dismissed from that group routine. For regular technique classes, team members are allowed four excused absences upon submitting an absence request form. If a dancer is absent more than four times from one daily technique class, they are required to attend a make-up class outside their current class schedule.
