(6-18 months) 30 min - Designed for babies and toddlers and adults to enhance the child’s gross motor and listening skills through experimenting with props, listening to music, and moving their bodies. This class meets once per week.

Toddler & Me

 

(18-36 months) 30 minDesigned for toddlers and adults to enhance the child’s gross motor and listening skills, as well as learning music and simple choreography. This class meets once per week.

creative movement

(3-4 years) 30 min – Combination ballet and tap class for toddlers that focuses on the development of motor skills and direction-following through the use of basic dance steps, music and play. This class meets once per week.

(4-5 years) 30 min – Combination ballet and tap class that bridges Creative Movement to basic dance class etiquette, and the fundamentals of ballet and tap terminology and technique. This class meets once per week.

Pre Dance II

(5-6 years) 30 min – Combination ballet and tap class that expands on the etiquette, terminology and technique of Pre Dance I, while introducing basic jazz steps. This class meets once per week.

Ballet I

(7-9 years) 75 min – Beginning with the fundamentals of ballet technique, this class will emphasize posture and placement, and begin to engage the dancer in the artistry of classical ballet movement.  This class meets once per week.

Ballet II

(10-12 years) 75 min – Expanding on the fundamentals of ballet, this class concentrates on knowledge of ballet vocabulary as well as execution of proper technique. This class is required to meet twice per week.

Ballet III

(13+) 90 min – This class will consist of more in depth barre exercises and pre-pointe work, and is designed to strengthen the dancer in order to engage them further into the artistry and athleticism required for performance and competitive dancing. This class is required to meet twice per week.

Advanced Ballet

(teacher placement) 90 min – Advanced ballet technique with the addition of Pointe technique. Pointe shoes will be required when the instructor decides the student is ready. This class is required to meet twice per week.

Jazz & Tap Combo I

(7-9 years) 75 min – Beginner jazz and tap technique. This class will focus on jazz isolations, simple turns and leaps, and basic tap sounds and rhythms. This class meets once per week.

Jazz & Tap Combo II

(10-12 years) 75 min – Intermediate jazz and tap technique. Continuing to focus on proper execution of turns and leaps, this class will begin to utilize more stylized jazz combinations, while also expanding the difficulty of tap sounds and rhythms. This class meets once per week.

Jazz & Tap Combo III

(13+) 90 min – Accelerated jazz and tap technique.  This class will move more quickly, continuing to practice more difficult turns, leaps and jazz combinations as well as tap steps, sounds, rhythms and tempo. This class meets once per week.

Teen Jazz

(12+ years) 45 min – Introductory jazz technique designed for aspiring dance team dancers. This class will focus on turns, kicks, leaps and cardio fitness, to help prepare the student for High School Dance Team. This class meets once per week.

Advanced Jazz

(teacher placement) 90 min– Advanced jazz technique and combinations for the focused, performance-driven dancer. This class meets once per week.

Advanced Tap

(teacher placement) 45 min – Advanced tap steps, rhythms and tempo for the focused, performance-driven dancer. This class meets once per week.

Contemporary I

(7-9 years) 45 minIntegrating the basics of lyrical and modern dance techniques, while teaching the importance/difference of each style of dance. This class meets once per week.

Contemporary II/III

(10+) 45 minIntegrating intermediate lyrical and modern dance techniques. This class is an extension of Contemporary I. This class meets once per week.

Advanced Contemporary

(teacher placement) 60 min – Advanced modern technique and combinations for the focused, performance-driven dancer. This class meets once per week.

Tumbling

(4-6 years) 30 min – An introduction to basic tumbling skills such as flexibility, rolling, inverting. This class meets once per week.

(7-9 years) 45 minIntermediate tumbling skills commonly utilized in competitive jazz, modern and lyrical choreography. This class will also focus on partnering and group lifting. This class meets once per week.

Acro II/III

(10+) 45 min - Gymnastics skills commonly utilized in competitive choreography. This class will also focus on partnering and group lifting. This class meets once per week.

Beginner's  Hip Hop

(5+) 30 min – Basic hip hop moves, body isolations and simple tricks put into fun choreography, and accompanied by funky hip hop music! This class meets once per week.

(10+ years) 45 min – Intermediate hip hop moves, body isolations and simple tricks put into fun choreography and accompanied by funky hip hop music! This class meets once per week.

Pound

The Dance Lab is a registered Pound Venue with Joanie Mix Lande as the certified Pound Pro.  This class is part of our Adult Series and requires the purchase of a punch card upon registration, OR just drop in to try it out before making a commitment. 


Adult & Professional

The Dance Lab is able to offer adult and/or professional ballet, modern, tap, jazz, hip hop or fitness classes upon popular request.  These classes may be scheduled for weekly, bi-weekly or monthly meetings, mornings or mid-day, Friday evenings or weekends.  Please CONTACT US to request a class.
