HAIR

Hair must be tied back, out of the face, with no bangs or fly-aways.  Headbands are allowed.  ALL BALLET CLASSES MUST ARRIVE TO CLASS WITH THEIR HAIR IN A BUN.  The studio will not provide hair supplies, so please come prepared with your own.

BALLET CLASSES

• Baby & Me: Leotard or dance dress, pink dance tights and pink leather ballet shoes and hair out of the face ALL RECOMMENDED BUT NOT NECESSARY.

• Creative, Pre-Dance 1 and Pre-Dance 2: Pink or black leotard or dance dress with pink dance tights and pink leather ballet shoes with elastic straps sewn on.

• Ballet 1A & 1B: Lavender leotard, pink dance tights, pink leather ballet shoes with elastic straps sewn on.

• Ballet 2A & 2B: Burgundy leotard, pink dance tights, pink leather ballet shoes with elastic straps sewn on.

• Ballet 3A & 3B: Navy Blue leotard, pink dance tights, pink leather ballet shoes with elastic straps sewn on.

• Ballet 4: Plum or Eggplant leotard, pink dance tights, pink leather ballet shoes with elastic straps sewn on. Pointe shoes will be discussed when they are required by the dancer.

• Ballet 5A & B: Black leotard, pink dance tights, pink leather ballet shoes with elastic straps sewn on. Pointe shoes will be discussed when they are required by the dancer.

• Ballet 6 & 7: Black leotard, pink dance tights, pink leather ballet shoes with elastic straps sewn on. Removable ballet skirts may be worn after barre.  Pointe shoes will be discussed when they are required by the dancer.

• Boys in Ballet: Black jazz pants or black boy's/men's ballet tights, plain black or White T-shirt, tucked in and black ballet shoes.

ACRO CLASSES

Black leotard, black booty shorts, footless tights (optional), hair pulled back in a bun. Acro dancers will practice barefoot. 

JAZZ CLASSES (Includes Jazz/Tap combo classes)

Tight-fitting clothing to show the form of the body.  Jazz pants, active-wear leggings, booty shorts, leotards, fitted shirts and tank tops are allowed.  NO SWEAT PANTS, SWEAT SHIRTS OR FITTED JEANS! All jazz students must wear slip-on black or tan jazz shoes such as the Capezio E-Series.  Jazz sneakers are not preferred.

TAP CLASSES (Includes Jazz/Tap combo classes)

• Pre-Dance 1 & Pre-Dance 2: Ballet class attire (see above). Black patent tap shoes such as the Jr. Tyette by Capezio.

• Tap I - Advanced Tap: Tight-fitting clothing (see jazz class attire above). Black slip-on tap shoes such as the Capezio Riff. High heels or clogging shoes are not preferred.

CONTEMPORARY/MODERN CLASSES

Tight-fitting clothing (see jazz class attire above).  All contemporary students must wear “turner” shoes such as the Capezio Piourette or Bloch Eclipse (leather preferred). Modern dance students will typically dance barefoot, but socks or Piourette/Eclipse "turner" shoes will also be allowed.

BOYS IN ACRO, JAZZ, TAP OR CONTEMPORARY/MODERN:

Black jazz pants and plain black or White T-shirt. Same shoe requirements as listed above for each class type.

HIP HOP CLASSES

Hip hop students may wear loose fitting active-wear, black jazz shoes or jazz sneakers or athletic shoes.  STREET SHOES ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE STUDIO FLOOR.

IRISH DANCE CLASSES

See "Jazz Class" attire above.  Black, lace-up Irish shoes or regular black jazz shoes.

CLOGGING CLASSES

See "Tap Class" attire above. Clogging shoes are suggested, but regular tap shoes will also be allowed. 

ADULT CLASSES

Tight-fitting clothing, active-wear, warm-ups, necessary sneakers or dance shoes (i.e. ballet shoes for ballet class or tap shoes for tap class), socks or bare feet. STREET SHOES ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE STUDIO FLOOR.
